Really wish I'd read reviews before wasting money here. The staff member that served me was rushing constantly and was barely understandable and pretty much everything I wanted was out of stock. I ended up spending nearly $4000 in alternative items planning to come back in a few weeks to purchase for the rest of the house. But i needed to secure essentials as the day i have for delivery is hard to organise for me. Whilst organising delivery on the one day I can get off work I state clearly that I cannot be at the house untill after 9am and its beyond my control. Please try and make me the last delivery. I was told that deliveries wouldn't be untill after that time anyway and I'd be fine. A day or two later I get a call that was barley understandable explaining that a few of my items weren't actually in stock I could pick them up when they arrive or pay another delivery fee. Then the day before delivery I get another call saying that another item was missing and that I was going to be the 1st delivery after 7am. I explained again that I can't be there till after 9am that I've asked to be last even. I'm then told to ask the driver in the morning to work with me on times as the truck was now loaded. Absolutely no good. I get another call saying one of the missing items turned up can I come pick it up. For crying out loud! I'm getting stuff delivered for a bloody reason and the truck is still there! Just now at 710am I get a call from the driver saying they'd be at my house in 20 mins. I explain the situation and get an apology but to call the store after 9am to arrange another day that they can't do it later. Even though they will be driving my stuff around all day. I can't get another night off work to be there for a week. A week with no bed or lounge or anything. Nothing to sleep on or sit on. Every step has been terrible with fantastic. I ended up buying less and lower quality due to stock levels and now I can't even get them and will have to sleep on the floor till they can deliver. My electricals are coming from the "good guys" same day and have worked with me on time doing a few others 1st and coming back to me later. As is Harvey Norman. Shame I can't sleep on a fridge. I should've bought my furniture at Harvey Normans too. I'll never spend a cent at fantastic again. I've found better quality at better prices at many other shops. I really regret spending any money at fantastic.

The problems continue. The couch was delivered with huge obvious damage and returned, I got the wrong bed slats and today I'm waiting on the replacement couch to arrive 3 hours after the window i was told to be home for. More wasted unpaid time off work. The email address I've been given in this reply doesn't work. My email just doesn't send. And on top of this the item that had been out of stock is at the warehouse for me to pick up and not being delivered despite what it says on my receipt.

In this particular email, I asked if the store could please reply receipt of the email, as I didn't want it to get lost in the inbox. There was no reply. A couple of days later (27th November), I forwarded the email to the store email address again asking them to confirm they'd received it - again, no response.

When I got to the pay screen, apparently everything was out of stock in the Canberra store. I tried to get it delivered from Dubbo because they were in stock but the website would just re direct me to delivery from Canberra, which had no stock so I wasn't able to.

I wish I could give no star. Here is the letter I have just sent to head office after days upon days of saga. It's a shame because the dresser that I received is beautiful and of high quality, but this experience with obtaining a refund for the other item has left such a bad taste in my mouth about the company.

Yesterday (12th Dec) I rang the Fyshwick store again to check if the refund had been processed, and I was advised by L*** that the person who was eligible to check if it had been done was busy on the phone, and she would call me back. I was not called back. This morning, I rang again and spoke to R*** again, and she said she would follow it up with head office. I asked her very specifically if she could please send me an email/copy me in on the email and/or call me to let me know that she had actually sent the email, and she said she would - and here we are at 5.45pm, with no email, no call, and no refund.

I am a very patient and tolerant person who understands the difficulties of working in retail. I am not one who likes to complain. But this whole situation has made my blood boil at how long it has taken for something so simple to be done when I have just been understanding and polite to everyone at the Fyshwick store. Something that needs to be taught in the company is the concept of communication, seeing as absolutely no one seems to be communicating within the store itself or with its customers.

I would like my refund by close of business on Friday the 15th. Never, ever again will I order from this company or recommend it to any of my friends and family. Rest assured a negative review on the Fantastic Furniture Google and Facebook pages is in the making.

In November I made an online order to receive a dresser and a mirror. On the day of delivery, I received the dresser but was told by the driver that the mirror was out of stock (I should add that this driver said no-one at the store had told him all the mirrors had been broken, so he was an hour behind schedule because he [rightly] waited at the warehouse to pick them up) and that I would be advised when it was back in stock so it could be delivered. The next day, I decided that I did not need the mirror anymore, and contacted the Fyshwick store to advise them of this. The man whom I spoke to advised me to send through an email detailing the order and my bank details, which I did on the day (24th November).

Terrible experience with the lift! My husband and I were walking out with our kids and the door shut and hit my daughter in the arm and head making her cry thank god my husband was there and hit the door back open. They didn’t even ask if she was ok when I complained that that lift was unsafe!

I emailed customer service to ask of I could purchase and get it delivered from the Dubbo store, happy to pay the shipping for it.

Perhaps a day or two later, I rang the store and after being hung up by the automated system many times, I finally got through to R*** who advised me that the head office deals with refunds of orders made on the website, and that it would take approximately 10 business days (which is ridiculous, might I add, seeing as I work in retail and refunds should be processed as soon as they are requested).

Update ,3..after 3 calls to the shop yesterday about delivery time and each time I was given a time frame that day For the delivery it didn't turn up. I call a 4th time and get Lucy, the staff member I worked with from day 1. She told me it wasn't coming because the drivers say it won't fit in my door. Not once had anyone told me this in any of the calls all day. It was on the truck each time I called.Lucy then reads her note in the computer such states she had made contact with me and informed me already.Lie!I had missed calls the morning before from a private number which I couldn't call back nor know who it was.I had stated numerous times that I'm a night shift worker and the phone is silent while I sleep. Id call back from sms or email or return a call if I know who called. I have made it clear to Lucy before that the driver/delivery guy didn't try and I could see easy angles to fit it in.10 seconds looking isn't a true assessment of fit. It's not a monster couch nor is my door non standard

The staff on the phone have been understanding but I'm beyond amazed at how terrible this service has been at every step. I've not regretted a purchase so much.

I am writing in the hope that I will finally receive a refund on a item that I have been chasing your Fyshwick store for over three weeks now.
