    Buyer beware... walking into the store at the outlet centre in Fyshwick you will be taken away by the beautiful furniture and the lovely things the store has to offer... but a word of advice, if you can't walk out of the store with the item you desire, do not bother purchasing it as you will have to deal with the sub standard customer service and the lousy delivery company the store contracts all deliveries to...but this is not the worst part of the experience, the worst part is when your piece of furniture you have paid a pretty penny for is FINALLY delivered, it is dumped by the delivery driver in its packaging for you to unwrap... (probably after they have requested you to help lift it out of the van I might add).. so after you spend a good 20 mins dealing with all the cardboard and packaging you've had to hack away with your kitchen knife, you are taken back as there is literally a busted up piece of s*** sitting in your house that does not resemble anything you saw in the store. In fact, it has nails hanging out of it and looks like it has been held together by chewing gum when it left Indonesia... hmmm not exactly the distressed look you were looking for. You call the store, their customer service is useless... no apology... never again Early Settler Fyshwick. It was an absolute waste of my time buying from you.. I've had better service and better quality furniture from Fantastic Furniture... and at a better price too that is for sure!

    Very strange and unhelpful sales process - I rang to enquire about purchasing a relatively small, non-furniture item which was advertised in the catalogue and online. I needed to collect it in time to give as a gift about a week after my enquiry. I was told that despite the the item being in the shop, they were unable to sell it to me and would instead need to order another one in, which would have meant waiting for over a week.

    Reasonable prices, although a placed order took 3 months to fill, so don't buy unless it's in stock

    We wanted to buy a piece of floor stock, a book case, but it was all too hard for the staff. They passed up a $1400 sale because they had to take the nick-knacks off the book case and they did not have any where to put the stock. There were a number off other shelving units the stock could go on. They made us all day to give us this decision after we called them. We walked two stores down in the same building, where we again offered to purchase floor stock and the staff provided a quote and allowed us to return home to confine measurements. The store then allowed us to pay over the phone with delivery scheduled for the next day - this was on a $500 sale.

    Although stock in Early Settlers looks amazing the rest of the sales experience is so terrible I will never recommend anyone purchasing from that store. Many other places in Fyswick to go to with comparable products and far more professional and efficient staff.

    Needless to say I decided to look elsewhere... I wonder how many sales they have lost due to not being willing / able to sell the actual items in the shop, on the actual day that people want to buy them!

    Early Settler delivered the wrong product. They did not call me to provide any update. When correct product arrived in store I was informed that I had to collect because their transport company won’t deliver. Noting I was charged for delivery of wrong product. Of concern was they could not see what my issue was. Avoid or buy online from a different seller
