  Shamefully over-promises and perpetually under-delivers. Was asked to take my car in for repairs on a Wednesday, which David Hand assured would only take three days. Come Friday it wasn't ready. The following Friday, seven days later, it wasn't ready. In fact, they hadn't even started the work. This business over commits itself for the sake of profit while wildly neglecting its customers. To compound their ineptitude, the job the did was second rate and they wouldn't even entertain offering a reasonable discount for the inconvenience caused. They did, to their credit, agree to re-do and respray their poor work; but it feels rather hopeless when they make you wait another three months before they will even touch it. Things happen at their convenience, never yours.

  After a $3000 repair and a guarantee that car would be back on road after repairs, I picked car up. Engine smoked and rattled on way home. Called them and was told 'we are not mechanics' and that they suspected engine was fried. They advised I could pay to tow car but suggested they couldn't fix it so I decided to await advice from owner who was overseas. I phoned roadside assist who said the smoke was caused by oil leak and the rattling caused by a missing part at bottom of car. I had a mechanic service my car, they replaced the rocker gasket. I attempted to follow up for advice from David Hand Smash Repairs re: tow and the missing part and whether it was their responsibility, as it was my belief the car would be back on the road fully working. Five weeks later and three follow up emails and still absolutely nothing. They contacted me two months later to assure me the mechanical issues were unrelated to them. There were no contingencies and no warnings or disclaimers that they were not mechanics. I was unable to get them to assist with the missing part until two months later, but only if I can prove it was their fault. Never write bad reviews, but should be wary going here

  They have fixed fixed​my car to my full satisfaction. No rework required. Completed the work by due date.

  Josh Hand and his team went to great lengths to make sure that work done to my car was of the highest standard. I would definitely use these guys again.
